We were excited about the night; we were glad to talk about the things we had put off for so long. The fog was so thick we couldn't even see. The birds were still asleep high in the trees. The ground was still wet there was grass on my knees. I buried my hands deep in my coat, I organized my thoughts as I cleared my throat.
The things that we know, the things we said, that we can't change. The things on the tips of our tongues; the things we dance around.
I'm so tired, there's no reaching me. I'm so tired, sheep are counting me.
Suddenly, I can't hear you at all. I turn to walk away. You say this is just like me but I know that I can't change. I feel like I don't take anything away from my life.

You can have everything, you can take everything, help yourself to everything, you deserve everything.
The days are short and the nights are long and I've thought of almost everything about the last few months and it doesn't change anything.
Here we are hoping for something, I can't help but hope for something new. Here we are waiting for something, everything to work itself out. I've heard that time heals everything, I'm still waiting to see if that's true.
